"I can fully agree with the live less principle. Because we live in a time of overconsumption"

Both Servaas and Barbara complain about overconsumption in their books. While Barbara mainly talks about the skincare industry where there is a new trend every week, Servaas talks about the excess of calories and processed food. Because if we go back to the primeval times, our body has always known periods of scarcity. Our body is not made for this.

"I'm well over forty, and then I look in the mirror and I see a different image than I did 10 years ago"

"I'm working on it, but I don't have a skincare routine, so I'm a bit worried about those lines getting deeper. I think that's human nature, because it confronts you a bit with your own finiteness. But I'm not going to put on a lot. I have a kind of day cream with an SPF in it. I put that on every morning, and then I forget about my skin."
